The seminar highlighted many lectures and cultural sites in both Morocco and Tunisia. The effects of diverse and intermingling religions on culture is most evident in the buildings and architecture seen. Roman ruins, ancient city medinas, mosques and their adjacent madersas (schools), synagogues and churches were all explored for their unique architectural and historical features and roles.

Along the way, we were exposed to musical performance, poetry, literature, film, crafts and novels that explore life in the region  and that is borne of religion.
