N. Gregory Mankiw, Principles of Macroeconomics, 7th edition, 2014, South-Western, Cengage Learning.
Can also be purchased with Aplia.

Course Description:

3 credits.
Covers the nature and methods of economics and survey of major economics problems; the determinants of national income and output, the price level, and employment; the role of money and banking in the economy; and the role of the government's fiscal and monetary policies.

Learning Objectives: Understand fundamental macroeconomic concepts; apply the concepts to real macroeconomic problems, understand the socio-economic consequences of policy decisions, and the role of government.
Restrictions:

May not be taken for credit if ECON 103 has already been taken.

Prerequisites: High school algebra and trigonometry.

Make-up Exams: Make-up exams will only be allowed in the event that a written, documented, explanation is accepted. Make-up exams may differ from the original exam.

Grading:

Grade (%)= HW(10%), Ex 1 (25%), Ex 2 (25%), Final Exam (40%)
Example: HW=70%, Ex1= 80%, Ex2=72%, Final=88%.
Grade(%)=0.1*70+0.25*80+0.25*72+0.4*88=80.2%;
Course grade: "B"
