Grading:

Midterm Examination: 15%
Final Examination: 25%
Major Term Projects(2): 40% (20% each)
Homeworks: 10%
Class participation: 10% (includes attendance)

Homework consists of reading assignments, finding information on the Internet, and finding current security news to be discussed in class. In addition some homework assignments involve performing operations on the computer, and writing up the results.

Misuse of Computers:

Will definitely not be tolerated, and will result in failure of the course. In addition, abusers will be reported to the dean, and to appropriate law enforcement organizations.

Incompletes

Incompletes may not be given without the approval of the department chair.
