Here is some information about the first midterm:

• The exam is on Thursday 10/12/2006, from 12:15 to 1:30 pm in KY 419. Please be there on time.

• The exam will have 4 problems, totally worth 40 points. I'll provide paper so you won't need booklets. Books and notes are not allowed, but remember to bring your calculator with you.

• The exam potentially covers everything up to and including section 3.2, with the exception of section 2.4. Check out this review sheet for more information about what topics you should study as well as a few practice problems. Work on these problems as you study the book and lecture notes; I'll solve them on Tuesday 10/10.
