MATH 207: Honors Calculus III

Fall 2008

Description and goals:

This is a rather rigorous introduction to differential calculus in several variables, with emphasis on two and three dimensional problems. It includes an introduction to linear algebra and, as time permits, glimpses into applications in differential equations and geometry of curves and surfaces.

The course is a continuation of Math 157-158. As always, its true prerequisite is the intellectual curiosity to learn about a nice piece of mathematics and the willingness to think.
