MATH 231 Second Midterm

Here is some information on the second midterm:

• The exam is on Thursday 11/17/2005, from 1:40 to 3:10 pm in KY 416. Please be there on time.

• The exam covers sections 4.1,4.2 and 5.1-5.6 of the text and will be based on the material covered in lecture. Officially, this is not a cumulative test, but clearly you should know the basic stuff from the first part of the course (such as row reduction, computing determinants, etc.)

• I will provide paper so you won't need booklets. Books, lecture notes and calculators are not allowed.

• Check out this Practice Test. Work on these problems as you study the book or your lecture notes; I will go over some of them on Tuesday 11/15 and post the detailed solutions here afterward.
