The National Organization of Italian American Women's 30th Anniversary Celebration honors La Famiglia Bastianich: Lidia, Joseph, Tanya, and Nonna Erminia.  National Italian American Foundation's 2010 East Coast Gala honors Joseph J. Grano.  Celebrations honor Pietro Cesare Alberti and the 375th anniversary of his arrival to New Amsterdam on June 2nd, 1635, becoming the first Italian immigrant to this part of the New World.
The 29th annual New York Conference of Italian American State Legislators in Albany, NY.  Art exhibition "Piccole Belle Cose: Small Beautiful Things" at the Garibaldi-Meucci Museum on Staten Island.  Italics introduces you to the newly-formed Amore Opera Company, which has arisen from the ashes of the late beloved Amato Opera Company.
Public rally held at Our Lady of Loreto Church in Brownsville, Brooklyn.  The rally was sponsored by the Committee to Save Our Lady of Loreto Church to save the historic church from the current plans for its demolition and redevelopment.  Excerpts from Dean Anthony Tamburri's conversation with Charles Piazza and Jeffrey Dunston of the Committee to Save Our Lady of Loreto Church.

An International Conference honors the legacy of the late NYPD Detective Joseph A. Petrosino, and examines the current status of the Italian Government's war against the Mafia in Sicily, one hundred years after Petrosino's murder there, and the National Organization of Italian American Women celebrates the holidays with their annual Epiphany event honoring Marietta DiChristina, Dr. Concetta M. Tomaino, and Maria T. Vullo, "Three Wise Women" from the community.

The John D. Calandra Italian American Institute celebrates its 30th anniversary.  The event was hosted by CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein, Queens College president James Muyskens, John J. Calandra, Esq., son of the late Senator John D. Calandra, and Anthony Julian Tamburri, Dean and Executive Director of the Calandra Institute.  Honorees included former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, former New York First Lady Matilda Raffa Cuomo, and Senator Diane Savino.
