Charles Rubin was a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force and was assigned to the 335th Bomber Squadron in the 95th Bomber Group (heavy). On 13 June 1943, the 95th Bomber Group made a run on Kiel, Germany because of its proximity to the ocean. He was killed in action during this mission. His memorial can be found at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery in Cambridge, England.
