Richard H. Richards was a flght officer in the Army of the United States Air Force from 1943 to 1944. He was assigned to the 532nd Bomber Squadron of the 381st Bomber Group (heavy), which saw action in France. On 19th of June 1944 Richards took part in a bombing mission at Merignac, Bordeaux airfield. He served as a navigator during the flight and was killed in action. He is buried in the Epinal American Cemetery in Epinal, France.
