Homework 2, Due 9/28
Read sections 1.6, 2.1 and 2.2 of the text (Thomas/Finney).
Make sure you are able to solve all the
core problems in sections 1.6 and 2.1.
Write up the following problems and hand them in:
Page 95 problems 6, 16, 30, 38. (Solve problem 38 by hand first,
then use "limit" command in MAPLE to find the limit of g(x) as x tends to 4;
use "plot" command to graph g(x) on the interval [3,5]. Compare the
results with what you obtained without MAPLE.)
Page 102 problems 16, 30.
Page 104 problems 12, 20.
Page 117 problems 14, 32, 44, 52.
