Homework 4, Due 10/15
Read sections 2.6, 2.7, 3.1 (Thomas/Finney).
Make sure you are able to solve all the
core problems in sections 2.5, 2.6, 2.7.
Learn about MAPLE's "implicitplot" command for graphing
implicit functions. Read the MAPLE manual for these and related worked
out problems.
Write up the following problems and hand them in:
Page 161 problems 14, 26, 48, 72
Page 170 problems 40, 50, 76 (for this problem, use MAPLE
to sketch the implicit function as well as the tangent line).
Page 176 problems 12, 24, 36.
