Find a Copy of a Title in NYC
When the C.U.N.Y. catalog is down, your first instinct should be to see if WorldCat is working because it supplies subject heading numbers that you can supply to students to give them an approximation of where the book might be. It is also your best bet on finding a title that no C.U.N.Y. libraries carry.
The S.U.N.Y. catalog might help students of Queens College that live on Long Island but might have access to the S.U.N.Y./Stony Brook and S.U.N.Y./Stony Brook Southampton Libraries.
The Nassau Public Library primarily services Long Island, but many of Nassau's residents attend Queens College.
5 Borough Public Libraries
The NYPL covers the Borough of Manhattan, the Bronx, and Staten Island
The Brooklyn Public Library services the fourth largest city outside of the most populace city in the U.S.
Queens Public Library is the best library to check for Queens College students since so many of them live in Queens
Digital Scriptoriums
Although the Strand is not digital per se, it does carry so many titles that it is always worth it to either call them directly or give students the number so that they can check themselves.
