If you have not yet filed for aid, we hope the following financial aid summary information for students in graduate level degree programs at Queens College is helpful to you in your planning.  See our detailed information about financial aid on this web site for more complete information.

1) Be sure to review eligibility and award information on our programs page related to the NY State and Federal financial aid programs available to students in our graduate degree programs.

The work and loan programs require a minimum 6 credit registration each semester.

TAP awards are much lower for graduate students than they are for undergraduates, and requires a minimum of 12 credits each semester.

The major aid programs through the Financial Aid Office for graduate students are the loans.  If you feel you will need loans to help you cover your expenses here, file all required applications as quickly as possible so you will know your loan award amounts and how to plan.

2) Follow application instructions on our how to apply page related to the aid programs for which you are applying.  Follow all the steps listed for the programs you are requesting.  File as early as you can.

3) Other sources of aid - our page of resources for finding other sources of aid may be of help.

4) Contact us if you have any questions about your aid applications.

Note: Students in a Ph.D. program at the Graduate Center should file for aid through the Graduate Center.  Students at CUNY Law School at Queens College should file for aid through the Law School.
