The meeting was called to order at 12:20

5. Progress report:
       WE HAVE ACHIEVED THE MINIMUM TARGET FOR ANALYZING         SOCIAL
STRUCTURES AND WORLD CUTLURES FOR FALL 2009!!!!
Need to encourage proposals for ?Appreciating the Arts,? ?Natural
Sciences,? ?Culture and Values? and ?Quantitative Reasoning.?   Committee
members agreed to contact relevant dept chairs and to explain timeline ?
because of multi-step approval process, Mar 09 date for posting fall 09
classes, Sept 1, 2008 designated as deadline  to guarantee inclusion in
fall 09 schedule

SENT BACK TO DEPT FOR REVISIONS
d) English 161, 161W; B. Simerka will submit report by email this week;
vote to be taken electronically  (Simerka report indicated that 161 needs
additional revisions)
e) History 160, 161, 163, 164, 165 166, 167, 168:  all sent back with
suggestions for revisions
f) Anthropology 103 ? sent back to dept for further  minor revisions
