C. Vickery and E. Fernández briefed the committee on discussion at the Academic Senate meeting of 11 September 2008, during which the Senate voted to approve two batches of recent minutes of the UCC, recommending approval of courses recommended by GEAC on April 2 and April 30, 2006.

It was suggested that the instructions for proposal preparation be revised so as to indicate that sample syllabi be specific about how a course meets PLAS criteria. E. Fernández will prepare such revisions.

The next meeting, originally scheduled for a day with no classes scheduled (October 1) will be rescheduled for later in October.

The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 PM.
