PRE-CONFERENCE RECEPTION & REGISTRATION

All participants at the 15th Annual CUNY Conference on Human Sentence Processing are cordially invited to attend a pre-conference reception:

DATE Wednesday, March 20, 2002
TIME 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
PLACE Linguistics Lounge (7th Floor, Room 7400)
CUNY Graduate Center
365 Fifth Avenue (between 34th & 35th Streets)
New York NY

Student assistants will be on duty in the lobby of the CUNY Graduate Center to assist you in checking-in with the security desk.  Please have a picture ID available.

Take any elevator up to the 7th Floor, where signs will direct you to the Linguistics Lounge.

At the reception, you will be able to register or, if you have pre-registered, to pick up your registration materials (abstracts booklet, name-tag, and so on).  You will be able to use your conference name-tag as ID for subsequent entries to the building.

REGISTRATION ON THURSDAY, MARCH 21, 2002

Please note that, because of the number of registrants we are anticipating, the registration desk will be open from 8:30 a.m. (not 9:00 a.m., as we had previously announced). Coffee will be served to support early-morning focus.

TIME  From 8:30 a.m.
PLACE  Proshansky Auditorium (Concourse Level)
CUNY Graduate Center
365 Fifth Avenue (between 34th & 35th Streets)
New York NY

Student assistants will be on duty in the lobby of the CUNY Graduate Center, to assist you in checking-in with the security desk. Please have a picture ID available. (You will be able to use your conference name-tag as ID for subsequent entries to the building.)

Take any elevator down to the Concourse Level, where signs will direct you to Proshansky Auditorium.

The first session of the conference starts at 9:45 a.m.  (The registration desk will remain open during sessions, all day for the three days of the conference.)

INTERNET ACCESS DURING THE CONFERENCE

For those who do not view a conference as three days of relief from e-mail, we have arranged access to a computer classroom located across from the Proshansky Auditorium (Room C196.03). This room is equipped with 12 workstations, each accepting guest login.

MESSAGE BOARDS AT THE CONFERENCE

There will be large message boards set up in the breakout space outside Proshansky Auditorium. If you or your institution has announcements likely to be of interest to conference participants, please bring hardcopy suitable for posting. We will also set up a table nearby for flyers or other handouts.
