MATH 141 Additional Resources
As a supplementary reading, I would recommend
Adrian Branner, The Calculus Lifesaver: All the tools you need to excel at
calculus, Princeton University Press, 2007, ISBN: 0691130884
This is a great book written in a friendly and engaging style. Many good explanations
and well-chosen examples. At 752 pages, it's also very reasonably priced. The
book has an accompanying webpage with links to videos of
the author's lectures on various calculus topics. Check them out, they are
quite useful!
The official website of Stewart's book
contains many additional examples, animations, Java applets and other cool
stuff. While I urge you to spend most of your time reading the text and
thinking, it might be fun to visit this site from time to time and check out the relevant
material.
