MATH 141: Calculus

Description and goals:

This is the first part of a three-semester sequence (141,142,143) intended to introduce the fundamental ideas and techniques of differential calculus with some emphasis on applications. The course is not proof-oriented but students are expected to gain a good understanding of the basic concepts of calculus and to be able to apply them in concrete problems.
