MATH 207: Honors Calculus III

Fall 2017

Description and goals:

This is a rather rigorous introduction to differential calculus in several variables, with emphasis on two and three dimensional problems. It includes a rapid introduction to linear algebra and, as time permits, glimpses into applications in differential equations and geometry of curves and surfaces.

The course is a continuation of Math 157-158. As always, its true prerequisite is the intellectual curiosity to learn about a nice piece of mathematics and the willingness to think.
