MATH142 is an overview of
Prerequisites:

Textbook: Essential Calculus, Second Edition, by James Stewart. We will cover Sections 3.7, Appendix B Sigma Notation, 4.1-4.5, 5.1-5.6, 7.1-7.4, and 7.7.
Midterms: There will be three midterms, held in class. They will be held on October 5, November 11, December 9.
Homework : There will be homework every week, on WebAssign. To sign up, follow these instructions: 1) Go to webassign.net 2) You will need to register, using the class key "qc 2268 5423" (without quotation marks). If you have any trouble with webassign, there is a technical support hotline at 1-800-955-8275.
Final Exam: There will be a final exam, held on December 16 at 10:45AM-1:15PM, in Kiely 170.
Grading: The Homework will be worth 20% of the grade. Each of the midterms will be worth 20% of the grade. The final exam will be worth 20% of the grade.

Week 2: Homework due Saturday, September 12. Also remember that on Thursday, September 10, classes follow a Monday schedule. Therefore, we will have class on Wednesday and Thursday this week.
Week 3: Two homeworks due Saturday, September 19.
Week 4: Two homeworks due Saturday, September 26. No class on Wednesday, September 23.

Week 6: Exam on Monday, October 5. Homework due on Saturday, October 10.
