    Announcements:

  • Week 1: No homework scheduled.
  • Week 2: Homework on Sections 11.6-11.7 due on September 8.
  • Week 3: Homework on Section 11.8 due on September 14.
  • Week 4: Homeworks on Section 12.6, 12.7 due at midnight on September 24. First Midterm will be held on October 13, in class. It will/should cover Sections 11.6-11.8, 12.6-12.7, and 13.1-13.3 (potentially not 13.3 if we don't get through all the material).
  • Week 5: Homeworks on Sections 13.1, 13.2 due on Sunday, October 2.

  • Week 7: Midterm.
  • Week 8: Homework on Section 13.4 due on October 28.
  • Week 9: No homework.
  • Week 10: Homework on Sections 13.5 an 13.6 due on November 10.
  • Week 11: Homework on Section 13.7 due on November 18.
  • Week 12: No homework.
  • Week 13: Homework on Section 13.8 due on November 29. You will need an analogous formula as formula 10 on page 820, in the situation where your surface is given by the graph of either  x = g(y,z) and y = g(x,z). It's not a big deal: If the surface is given by z = g(x,y), then formula 10 says that the function you integrate is -Pg_x - Qg_y + R. If the surface is given by y = g(x,z), the function you integrate is -Pg_x + Q - Rg_z. If the surface is given by x = g(y,z), the functino you integrate is P - Qg_y - Rg_z. SCHEDULE FOR THE REST OF THE SEMESTER: Week after Thanksgiving is final week of lectures. Week after that is: Review for second midterm will be on Dec. 6 and Second midterm will be on Dec. 8. Then there will be a review for the final on Dec. 13, and an optional final exam on Dec. 15 in class at the same time.
  • Week 14: Review for Second Midterm on December 6. Practice problems that we will go over in the review: Page 838-839, # 17, 19, 21, 27, 29, 32, 33, 35, 36, 38. Second Midterm is on Dec. 8 in class.
  • Week 15: CHANGE IN SCHEDULE: Optional final is on Dec. 15 in class at our scheduled time, with a review for the final on Dec. 13 in class.
