Solo in F# Chris Swift B. Maullick

Solo in F#       Chris Swift       B. Maullick
Solo in F# is a comical work. lt is satirical with no real point but to portray a sense of extreme hardship while playing an extremely short and simple work. This is used to represent the struggle that an average music student goes through in the pursuit of perfection in even the simplest of tasks. There is no instructions on how to physically depict the piece. The interpretation is left entirely up to the performer. They can depict the stress (or lack of stress) to any degree in which they feel necessary.

Waves       Samuel Ramirez       M. Peters

Sickamore      Yuzhe Song      C. Swift
The name "Sickamore" has nothing to do with the sycamore tree. lnstead it is the story of a young boy in the hospital. The piece is composed entirely of pentatonic scales because the composer thought "it would be way easier than using diatonic scales".

In My Darkest Days       Daniel Phillip       D. Phillip/ D. Guillaume
      Daniel Guillaume
      Samuel Ramirez
Inspired by all the hardships and constant life battles of our lives, In My Darkest Days takes you on a venture of life's highs and lows. This is our Testimony that no matter what the situation, with unwavering faith, we can overcome even our Darkest Days.

Descendo a Serra       Yuzhe Song       Pixinguinha e Benedito Lacerda

3 Grooves       Chris Ramirez       D. Guillaume
      Samuel Ramirez
      Chris Swift
Explore different aspects of drum set playing. From laying down a groove, to being a soloist. This trio has Jazz, Latin and Rock lnfluences that unfold throughout the piece. Grabs inspiration from Julia Wolfe's quartet, Dark Full Ride.

Feeling the Vibe       Shaina Schwartzberg - Vibraphone       D. Guillaume
      Chris Rarnirez - Electric Guitar
Aaron Meives - Electric Bass Guitar
      Samuel Ramirez - Drum Set
A Vibraphone Feature written for a Jazz combo. Vibraphone was invented in the 1920s and has been a prominent jazzinsTrument used in dance bands and combos. This piece takes from aspects of expressive vibraphone playing and dance band music that will have you feeling the vibe.
