Course information
MATH143 is an overview of techniques of integration and the theory of infinite series.
Prerequisites: Math 142.

Textbook: Essential Calculus, Second Edition, by James Stewart. We will cover Sections 6.1-6.5, 5.8, 6.6, and 8.1-8.8.
Midterms: There will be two midterms.
Homework : There will be homework every week, on WebAssign. To sign up, follow these instructions: 1) Go to webassign.net 2) You will need to register, using the class key "qc 5329 9854" (without quotation marks). If you have any trouble with webassign, there is a technical support hotline at 1-800-955-8275.
Final Exam: There will be a final exam, held on
Grading: The grade will be calculated as follows: 25% Homework, 25% for each midterm, and 25% for the final.

Week X: Finishing Chapter 8 on May 1. Review for Midterm 2 is on May 1 and May 6. Midterm 2 is on May 8. Here is a practice midterm. It is longer than what the actual midterm will look like (so that you can have more practice). FINAL EXAM WILL BE ON MAY 17, 8AM-10:30AM, LOCATION PH-110.
